Mijn geliefde familie en vrienden,

Scripture of the Week
1 Nephi 2:15 - "And my father dwelt in a tent."

Another week in Rotterdam. There are still times when I'll be walking down the street or riding the metro and realize that I am a missionary and that I'm in the Netherlands. There are only 2 1/2 weeks left in this transfer. It's gone by so fast! Too fast. I mean I still have a ton of time left, but it still is flying by.

We have two investigators, Audrey and Blessing. They've been taught for several months now. Audrey is an older lady from England. She's super sweet and loves talking. We visit her each week and I always look forward to those visits. Blessing is from Nigeria. I'm not sure what to say about her. She's a sweet spirit. No, she is, but seriously every time we have an appointment with her I am very pleasantly surprised as to how well it goes and how strong the spirit is. She is very fun to teach and we have the opportunity to translate for her each Sunday. She doesn't speak Dutch, and I am still working on it. This past Sunday I translated the whole sacrament meeting for her... Sometimes I share a spiritual thought or one of the lessons from Preach My Gospel if the speaker is talking to fast. She doesn't really mind too much though.
Elder Wilson and I tried giving each other hair cuts on Thursday morning... Fortunately, Summer, an American member in our ward, is awesome and was willing to give us emergency hair cuts that night. It turned out pretty well in the end.

On Friday I went down to Brussels with the other 23 missionaries who arrived in the Netherlands with me. It is an amazing city. It's much older and more of a typical European city in comparison to Rotterdam. The best part of the trip was the Belgian Waffle. It is one of the best things that I have ever eaten. The one that I bought was filled with chocolate. It was amazing. Wow. The people there were pretty funny. They stared at us and commented on the group of "Americans" walking around wearing white shirts and ties. A group of girls asked to take a picture with us while we were taking a big group photo in front of the Brussels station. We said yes and gave them each a Book of Mormon. The absolute best part of that trip was having to blow my nose every 5 minutes that day. Grapje. No but I guess everybody's getting a little bit of a head cold right now so I'm not alone.

I think the most common theme that I have seen throughout my mission so far is that God loves us and He does answer prayers. Just within the past several e-mails that I've read, I've seen answers to prayers and questions I've been having, whether the person knew they were giving me the answer or not. God loves each of us individually and has a plan for us. Things don't always work out how we'd expect or want them to, but God always provides a way. At times we'll be at our lowest point, or we're just not expecting any answer or miracle. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants the best for us. If we look, we can see God's hand in our life and the blessings He gives us every day.

I love my Heavenly Father, and I see the influence and blessing of His son's infinite atonement in my life every day. I know that God loves us and families are forever. I love you all and have a great week!

Tot ziens!
