Dear friends and family,

Scripture of the Week
Moroni 7:15,19 - "For behold, my brethren, it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil; and the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night.
Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ."

This week was super good. We had zone service, stake conference, and a lot of cool little miracles. Faith in Christ and love for God and His work really pays off.

We did a lot of work in the "ghetto" of Rotterdam this week. Also known as the most ghetto part of the Netherlands. It doesn't compare at all to the ghettos in America though, it's kind of funny. On Tuesday I went on exchanges with Elder Strikwerda. It was sick. He is very good at talking to people, so there were several people on the street who we contacted who were very open to meeting with us and hearing our message. So far we've been able to set up an appointment with Cheng Kit (an Asian/Dutch student), and get potential appointments with a homie named Ouzin, who said he would make an African dish called fu fu with us, and Aaron, a Hungarian school teacher here in Rotterdam. They're all super cool and I'm especially excited to get to know Cheng Kit and share our message with him. He seemed very genuinely interested. That night we were able to set up an appointment with a former potential of Strikwerda's when he was in South. Her name is Barbara and she's a yoga teacher from France. Very cool and hilarious. She was amazing and the Spirit was super strong in the lesson. We were able to teach her about the Restoration and Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. Also a little bit about living eternally with our families in the next life. It was great because she was asking so many questions. She read Moroni 10:3-5 and said that it is very logical and that she'll pray about the message we shared. Hopefully we'll be able to meet with Barbara again soon.

The rest of the week turned out pretty good as well. We looked up some of the potentials from knocking doors last week, and were able to get in and have a discussion with a guy named Pedro. He's from Portugal. He was atheist for 35 years until he found God and now he's Catholic. Very cool story. He didn't let us talk too much, but hopefully tomorrow when we meet with him we'll be able to tell him a little bit about the message we share. We also were able to get in contact with a former investigator, Melissa. She was super cool. On Sunday/yesterday we had a lesson with a man named Kissi. It's sad because he doesn't seem to know why he is here on earth and he tries to use his own reasoning and logic to make sense out of it. I don't know if we'll be able to meet with him again, but we left a Book of Mormon with him so hopefully he'll read that.

It was a super cool week though. We were able to talk to a lot of people and set up a lot of appointments with others for next week. It's cool to see God work through me, and the other missionaries, to change the lives of these people. I know that we'll be able to bring happiness and direction into their lives one way or another.

We also had zone service this week. It was a lot of fun. We sorted clothes at a sort of Goodwill/DI kind of place. We also may have gotten some pics with some of the sick clothing that people have decided to give to charity. I'll include some of those treasures in here.

I love you all and you're all children of God so that's cool. Everybody have a great week and be happy and look for God's hand in your life! Also prayer is something that really helps me a lot. God is there and he does listen to us, and he responds.

Tot volgende Maandag,

Elder Wright
