Dear family and friends,

D&C 63:9
"But behold, faith cometh not by signs, but signs follow those that believe."

It was a busy week. On Tuesday night Elder Knaupp and I picked up a train to Rotterdam South. Back to my baby city (where I begin my mission basically). It was good to see Elder Wilson again. I had the opportunity to go and teach a lesson with Elder Wilson with the one and only Barbara. Remember the French lady that I taught with Elder Strikwerda a while ago? Anyway, she's is amazing. She has so much faith and desire to learn and the Spirit was definitely there with us. We were able to talk to her about baptism and even show her a Vocal Point music video. It was great.

On Wednesday we had Christmas Conference. We had the opportunity to hear from President Bunnell, Sister Bunnell, Elder Bonner, and others. It was great. I also got to see Elder Morrell and Elder Frederico and other missionaries that I served in Rotterdam with. It was a good conference. Very inspiring and uplifting. Lots of good stuff.

On Friday we had Zone Service. We went and sorted and packed food stuff for the Zwolle Voedsel Bank. They are collecting food to make Christmas packages for families in Zwolle who won't have much this Christmas. It was pretty cool. Lots of interaction with non-LDS people and opportunities to talk about who we are and why we're here. We also were able to hand out flyers for the big service activity in a grocery store in Zwolle. It was cool to see how many people were willing to donate food for the packages. Also it was nice because nobody ran away from us... Okay people don't actually run away from us, but still.

Saturday we got to go to Appeldorn to see a Christmas Concert put on by the church members there. It was very well done. Lots of talented people. I said goodbye to Elder Childs forever. He's dying (going home) this week. Very sad. He's a good man.

Speaking of this week, it's the end of the transfer already! Elder Knaupp and I will be staying together in Zwolle for another six weeks. It'll be nice to be in Zwolle for Christmas. We will be getting Elder Frederico and Elder Perry in the zone. Two familiar faces. It will be sick.

We went over to Familie Van Aandel on Sunday after Church. They live in a nearby city of Emmeloord. It was very cool. We got a tour of the farm, I got beat up by some the kids, and we had crepes. It was fun to spend time with such a happy family. It's amazing how much happiness this gospel, the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, can bring to families. I'm very excited to one day have a family of them own and be able to raise them with a knowledge that we can live together forever.

You all have a great week and be good. Also, read the Book of Mormon. It will change your life.
