Dear family and friends,

Mosiah 24:22 - "And they gave thanks to God, yea all their men and all their women and all their children that could speak lifted their voices in the praises of God."

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everybody had a great week because I know I did! Elder Harp and I got to do two exchanges this week. One with Elder Perry and Elder Dearden (they serve in Emmen) on Wednesday and one with the Zone Leaders (Elder Hosea and Elder Parr) in Apeldoorn on Friday.

Wednesday had to be the highlight of the week. I had the opportunity to stay in Zwolle with Elder Perry and we saw some super sick miracles! We had three lessons planned for the day. One with Etty, one with Hacer, and one with Tony. Etty had griep (the cold) so we had to move our appointment with her, so then we were down to just two appointments. But, have no fear, it's okay because God works miracles and His work moves forward. Throughout the day, we moved from having just those two appointments with Hacer and Tony, to having five appointments! We knocked on the doors of some former investigators and some people who are potentially interested in learning more about the gospel. We knocked on four people's doors, and three of those four let us in.

Before we went to our lesson with Hacer we went and knocked on the door of a lady named Cecelia. She was on the phone but she said that we could come back another time. Normally that just means another day, but Elder Perry and I asked if we could just come back in an hour. She said "oké". Cool. So we had a sick lesson with Hacer where we spoke about the importance of prayers, reading in the scriptures, and going to church. We asked her to read Moroni 7 for our next appointment. It talks a lot about charity and love. You all should read it too! Here is a link to where you can order a free Book of Mormon: https://www.mormon.org/free-book-of-mormon Let me know what you think about it.

After Hacer we stopped by Cecelia and had a sick appointment with her. We were able to get to know her and learn a little bit about her experience with the missionaries and with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She told us how she's met a ton of missionaries and actually has a few friends who are Mormon. That's pretty rare for the Netherlands. She said that before we came she had been texting one of her Mormon friends and the friend had asked her "Why aren't you Mormon yet?" Now that isn't a question you would usually ask your friend, but Cecelia has met with the missionaries a ton and has a testimony of the Book of Mormon, so it's okay. She told her friend some lame excuse and then we knocked on the door. She said that everytime she texts that friend it seems that Mormons pop up on her door step. Is that a sign? We told her that it is and invited her to pray this week about the Church to know if it is true and then to act on the answer that she receives. It was cool.

We left Cecelia and walked over to Ramon. Ramon is this super old Surinams guy and he is what we call an "eternigator". Someone who really enjoys talking to the missionaries and may even have a testimony of the message we share, but is never willing to keep commitments or act on their faith. We stopped by because Ramon said he knew someone who is interested in the Church. We got this guys contact information and then Ramon proceded to tell us about marriage and relationships and our future spouses. He gave us a lot of valuable information. For instance you should go to church with the girl you like and you should ask her if you can kiss her before you kiss her. He also prophesied my future wife after he had gotten up and walked around his living room looking at pictures of Jesus and rubbing a cross. Apparently she'll be white, short, play soccer, and have long hair. Thank you Ramon.

When Ramon was finished sharing his wisdom with us, we said goodbye and went and had a sick appointment with Tony. We talked about a ton of different stuff that Tony has questions about. He was super interested in modern day revelation and all that fun stuff so we'll probably talk more about that with him next week.

After Tony we decided to go and try Kevin. Kevin is the friend of a recently baptized kid named Kenny from Apeldoorn. We them a couple of weeks ago and Kenny expressed interest in learning more about the gospel and Kevin as well. They both want to make a lot of changes in their lives. The Gospel of Jesus Christ can help them do that. After that appointment though our next two fell through and we lost contact with them. Elder Perry and I knocked on Kevin's door on Wednesday and he opened it, stoned as Stephen. The lesson was a little tough because he wasn't all there but we read Ether 12 with him and talked about how God helps our weakneses become strong. We exchanged numbers and said goodbye. He must have felt the Spirit because on Sunday Kevin called and asked if we could have another appointment. Super sick.

It was a cool week. Wednesday was definitely the highlight, but the rest was great too. Keep praying and looking for the miracles in your own lives. They are there and they will come. Love you all and everybody have a great week!

Love,

Elder Wright
