Alma 26:22 - "Yea, he that repenteth and exerciseth faith, and bringeth forth good works, and prayeth continually without ceasing - unto such it is given to know the mysteries of God; yea, unto such it shall be given to reveal things which never have been revealed; yea, and it shall be given unto such to bring thousands of souls to repentance, even as it has been given unto us to bring these our brethren to repentance."

Dear family and friends,

Eighty weeks woah! That's crazy. Well 'Week 80' as a missionary was pretty cool. Wednesday was fun. It was one of those days as a missionary that shows that if you just get out an work and talk to people, God will lead you to some pretty nice people. We were walking on this street on the way to a look-up and it was cold and Elder Enger and I were talking about life and this lady comes around the corner and for a split second I had the choice of whether to contact her or not. That's a choice that you have to confront as a missionary every hour of the day. There have been many times where I have made the wrong choice and decided to not contact the person but fortunately in this situation I did. She was super cool and her name was Bianca. She didn't have a lot of time to talk but we shared a 'Verlicht de Wereld' card with her and she seemed a little interested and then asked where our church is. We told her it is in Almere and she got excited because hers is all the way in Amsterdam and she doesn't like taking the trip there every Sunday. So we gave her the address and the times and she said she would come sometime. She didn't come this Sunday but at least she has the option now and Elder Enger and I got a little boost from such a positive contact.

On Wednesday night we had a really cool lesson on the door with this girl Whitney who we met last week. She is super chill and was actually really open to learning about the Restoration. We had given her a Book of Mormon the week before and she had read a little and thought it was a little boring but after getting the story behind it and the reason we shared it with her she seemed excited to read it. She invited us to come over again next week to speak a little more about prayer and faith.

Friday was super nice because Elder Van Den Dungen Bille came to Almere for the day! He's up in Groningen so I don't see him as much as last transfer but we were able to go on splits for the day and had a nice lesson with Diana in the evening while Elder Enger and Elder Vanfleet went to Rashida and had a great lesson with her. Elder Gemmell and Elder Van Den Dungen Bille's companion were in Brussel for the day. 

Almere is still fun and I'm learning a lot from the city and from Elder Enger. It's good and it keeps me on my toes and forces me to work harder and be better. It's fun moving into the Christmas season too and sharing the Christmas Spirit with the people of the Netherlands for one last time. Oh also biggest miracle of the week!!! Last week Saturday we were on the bus and this Portugese girl started talking to me and I started talking to her and her mom who was sitting next to her. I told her I was from American and a Mormon missionary and she freaked out because she loves America and her favorite state is Utah!!! What??? She even had a necklace on with Utah on it. That doesn't happen too often. So before we got off I gave her a card and it was a super cool experience and then I didn't think too much more about it.. buuuut on Sunday we get this referral for someone named Beatriz who wanted a Book of Mormon. We called the number on Tuesday and she answers the phone and I say my name and who I am and she's like "No way! How'd you get this number?" So I told her we got a referral saying she wanted a Book of Mormon and she said that she got bored while her mom was in an appointment and decided to go on the website on the card I gave her (mormon.org) and ended up talking with two missionaries in Salt Lake City. They told her they could have missionaries in Almere bring her a Book of Mormon and she said yes and so that's when we got the referral. Super cool! So we're going over this coming Saturday to meet with her and her mom and give her the Book of Mormon and Restored gospel.
